Here are the current categories, with individual RSS feeds for each. Note: If you subscribe to the category feeds, and I file something under two different categories, you may get two copies of it in your feedreader. I’m working on a way to fix this (read “use somebody else’s solution for it”) but currently don’t have anything to console you except “Just hit delete every once in a while!”
Also, I’ve put categories I expect to be of wider interest in bold, darkblue type.
- Chess. This category is a place for me to put my games and thoughts on chess, and also to point out chess news and links. Feed.
- Classes. This category is pretty self-explanatory. Feed.
- Criticism. This is an infrequently used category for my reviews of movies, books, and other works of art. Feed.
- Fançais. Voici une catégorie pour les rares postes où j’écris en français. Fil.
- Friends & Family. This is a category where I’ll put most personal news. Feed.
- Links. A category for people who want to see links I consider noteworthy. That is, a bit more description, fewer tags, and fewer actual links than my del.icio.us bookmarks.
- New Categories. In case I start a new category and forget to travel back in time to when you were reading this page to let you know about it. Feed.
- Programming. I’m not much of a programmer, but for when I do have programming-related posts, this is the category that’ll bring ‘em to you! Feed.
- Snobbishness. A category almost exclusively reserved for the monthly Latin phrases. I say almost just in case, though I don’t foresee any exceptions to the rule. Feed.
- Soapbox. While I reserve the right to have non-political posts in this category, it will be predominantly political. I don’t plan to have much content here. Feed.
- Voting Rights. See here for more on what issues in voting rights I care most about. Feed. (Note: This is a subcategory of Soapbox, meaning that if you subsribe to the feed for Soapbox, you don’t need to subscribe to the feed for Voting Rights. Use the Votig Rights feed only if you care about what I have to say on Voting Rights but not other political issues).
- Uncategorized. This is the category for posts I was too lazy either to assign or to create a category for. Feed.
- Writings. A category for me to put more traditional writings (i.e., not blog posts) such as academic papers, published op-eds, and other more serious writings of mine. I don’t have a lot of these, but what’s a category among database tables? Feed.
