It only displays the tags on the permanent version of the page. I'm sure I could fix this by changing the index template in the theme editor, but I actually sort of like it. The only thing I don't like is that I used to like it when every post was a subliminal advert for tagging. Oh well. If I get gung-ho I can always throw it back in. Interesting.
