Snobby Latin Phrase for May

Dan, the one among us who remembers the most Latin from high school, has just handed down the snobby latin phrase for the month of May with a small apology to April, which I’m sure feels slighted. I of course, missed out on posting the new phrase until now because I left for Myrtle Beach on the 9th, and only got back yesterday. But better late than never!

The new phrase is dis aliter visum, meaning “it seemed otherwise to the gods.” For example, I thought that after what happened at the beginning of the year with my cell phone, I wouldn’t be stupid enough to get my replacement wet. Dis aliter visum, as I forgot to remove it from my pocket before entering a hot tub in Myrtle Beach!

Which brings me to my second point. If you’ve called me and left a voicemail message since Tuesday, I haven’t gotten around to checking it yet. Email me (me AT [myfullname].com). As a public service announcement, I will point out that if you have T-Mobile, you can check your T-Mobile voicemail from any phone by dialing 1-805-MESSAGE (I think it’s 805, and I clearly haven’t tried it recently but will do so soon). Quite useful if you’re on vacation in Prague without your cell phone but for some crazy reason want to keep up with your voicemail.

Yeah, I know. It’s me posting a comment on my own blog. Actually, I’m trying to see if gravatars are working.

Yeah, let’s see how things are going with that gravatar thingy (this shouldn’t work).
